Monolith dead trees
Not all dead trees need to be felled to the ground. A monolithic stem can create a diverse habitat for a wide array of wildlife.
Leaving Dead trees standing doesn’t have to be dangerous. If you remove the structural limbs off a dead tree you can create a strong standing structure that has the potential to remain standing for a very long time. This dead structure not only looks great, but is vital habitat for an array of wildlife.
To alleviate any dangers from the tree falling, the area where the tree is standing could be left wild and natural. This will reduce the risk of people going near the tree or you could fence the area off. As with any trees, regular monitoring is always crucial to access the longevity of the tree in question.
