Aqua Scape

Water offers sound, motion, smell and reflection and using water within a landscape can transform both the space and the atmosphere.

The surface of water in full sun or surrounded by garden lighting gives a reflective contrast to its surroundings.  Gentle ripples set in motion by the lightest of winds across the surface gives movement and the flowing of water as it flows over the edge of a waterfall provides sound.  The smell of a fresh summer’s morning or evening evokes all of the human senses, giving you a chance to get away from the stress of everyday life and a place to relax and reflect upon life’s events.

Water features do not have to be big or hard to maintain.

A small shallow pond left to its own devices in a discreet part of your garden can give sanctuary to a vast array of wildlife, whilst also proving benefits to the surrounding environment.  A simple waterfall or water feature beside an area of entertainment can offer that ambient feel, whilst a large Koi pond, (although a little more management is required), offers both tranquillity and relaxation as you sit and watch these beautiful fish move around in their own environment.
